Miles de jóvenes ovacionan al Papa en la Plaza de Bolívar de Bogotá (fotos)

Miles de jóvenes de Colombia y otros países latinoamericanos aclamaron hoy al papa Francisco cuando hizo su entrada en la bogotana Plaza de Bolívar a bordo del papamóvil después de reunirse con el presidente Juan Manuel Santos.





Un griterío se desató cuando los jóvenes vieron entrar al pontífice por el costado sur de la plaza entre un mar de grandes manos de cartón de los colores amarillo, azul y rojo de Colombia que portan los asistentes.

Por los altavoces instalados en la plaza se escuchaba la canción “Alma misionera”, que dio un toque todavía más festivo al momento.

En la plaza se veían carteles y banderas de Colombia y de prácticamente todos los países latinoamericanos portadas por los cerca de 22.000 jóvenes que más tarde serán saludados y bendecidos por el Vicario de Cristo desde el balcón del Palacio Arzobispal.

En un punto frente a la Catedral Primada el pontífice pidió detener el papamóvil para saludar a una monja y unos metros más adelante descendió en el atrio en medio de una ovación.

En ese lugar lo esperaban el alcalde Bogotá, Enrique Peñalosa, junto con el cardenal primado de Colombia, Rubén Salazar, así como el episcopado y otros funcionarios colombianos, quienes aprovecharon para hacerse “selfies” con el pontífice.

Acto seguido los obispos le presentaron unas reliquias de Santa Isabel de Hungría y luego entró en la catedral para orar ante el lienzo de Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá, patrona de Colombia, que fue traído especialmente para esta ocasión desde su santuario en el departamento de Boyacá, en el centro del país.
